Our Story in Film

Celebrating One Year at Dance Addiction

As we mark the first anniversary of Our Social Space transitioning into Dance Addiction as our community venue, we’re delighted to share this creative short film developed with our dance community.

Lost Sole was created as part of the NI Now Project, supported by the Nerve Centre and Northern Ireland Screen, and now forms part of the Northern Ireland Digital Archives.

Filmed in Our Speakeasy, the story follows a curious lost sole who stumbles into a lively Cotton Club-style gathering, discovering a welcoming world of rhythm, connection and social dancing.

This film was brought to life by our fabulous community social dancers, with story written by Julie and creative direction from Mark. It celebrates the creativity, collaboration and sense of belonging that continues to shape Our Social Space.

Autumn Blues Dance Programme

Whether you’re a dedicated dancer or a complete beginner, Blues dancing invites you to strip away the fancy footwork and get back to what dance is really about - connection, expression, and rhythm. This autumn, join our Sunday Blues Dance Classes and discover a new way to move.

What Is Blues?
Blues is a family of Black American vernacular dances, born in the Mississippi Delta and danced to blues music. With deep roots in African American history, it’s a style that celebrates musicality, self-expression, and the joy of dancing with others.

What We’ll Be Learning

6:30pm – Solo Blues: Learn technique, rhythm, and choreographed routines to develop your movement vocabulary.

7:30pm – Partner Blues: Build your fundamental skills, explore musicality, and try the range of idiom rhythms that make Blues so rich and diverse.

Why People Love It
Our students often say Blues night is their favourite night of the week — the music is irresistible, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the sense of connection is unbeatable.
