Together We Dance is a preventative arts-and-health programme delivered in partnership with the Public Health Agency through the Clear Project.
Designed for parents, grandparents and unpaid carers, the programme recognises that while caring can be deeply meaningful, it can also be isolating and emotionally demanding. Together We Dance creates protected space for carers to prioritise their own wellbeing through movement, connection and creative participation.
Delivery Model
Classes combine gentle, accessible movement with time for informal conversation and peer connection.
In addition to grant-funded delivery, The programme has also been delivered in partnership with Belfast HSC Trust as part of its Hello Carers initiative.
Outcomes
Together We Dance supports carers to:
Reduce stress and emotional fatigue
Build social support networks
Increase confidence and personal wellbeing
Reconnect with joy and creative expression
As recognised Take 5 Champions, we intentionally design this programme around the five steps to wellbeing — encouraging carers to connect, be active, take notice and strengthen supportive relationships.
The programme has successfully completed its current funding phase and we are actively seeking support to continue and expand delivery.
